The “Enriching Minds” Teaching Project at MCU is a recurring set of lessons taught by Torsang Foundation volunteers In these classes, our dedicated teachers impart English language skills to the monks at Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University (MCU) in Chiang Mai. 

Starting from September 1, 2023 and continuing most Wednesdays and Thursdays, this initiative has been a bridge of cultural and linguistic exchange, fostering a global perspective among the monks while also providing a profound spiritual learning experience for our volunteers.

This project allows our volunteers to step into the serene and spiritually rich environment of MCU, prepared with their educational materials and an enthusiasm to share their knowledge. 

The teaching curriculum is designed to cater to different learning levels, ensuring a fruitful learning experience for all monks who attend. The heartfelt engagement and mutual growth witnessed during these sessions are truly inspiring.

Enriching Minds: Teaching Project at MCU

The "Bright Minds: Teaching Project at Bann Hua Fai School" is one of the charitable endeavors by Torsang located in Chiang Mai, aimed at promoting education at Bann Hua Fai School. Since September 2023, our willing volunteers have traveled to the school on various occasions to teach basic English to the young students.

This project was initiated to enhance the English language skills of the students and foster a supportive learning environment. Additionally, it presents a wonderful opportunity for the students to engage in interactive learning experiences and gain inspiration from our volunteers.

This collaborative teaching and learning effort has opened doors for the students to broaden their educational horizons while forming meaningful relationships between the volunteers and the school community. We hope that this project continues in the future, creating meaningful and effective connections to the local community for the long term.

Our donation events from 2020 until now. 


We donated 200 food boxes and 200 dry food bags to Kam Phang Ngam village, which has around 150 families.

We carried out this event over two days in April.

Other Events

Give stuffs to The Wildflower Home. The Wildflower Home provides safety, education, health care, and other support to women in crisis, often pregnant or accompanied by young children. These women face unlawful and immoral discrimination, extreme poverty, human rights violations, and family abandonment. Confronted with financial problems and social stigma, we welcome these women and support them during their lives’ most challenging and traumatic periods. We empower these women to stand up for themselves, expand opportunities for financial stability and prevent potential risks of medical relapse.

Donations to the Chiang Mai Provincial Social Development and Human Security Office to be distributed to the underprivileged

Baan Hua Fai School, located in the San Sai District of Chiang Mai Province, is requesting support to fund the construction of a new classroom building for kindergarten students, with a total cost of 450,000 THB. The current number of classrooms is insufficient for the growing number of students, and the learning environment is not conducive to effective education. This has caused discomfort and negatively impacted the students' learning and development.
To address this need, the Torsang Foundation, based in Hang Dong District, Chiang Mai Province, has organized a fundraising campaign through the website

- The distribtion of sports shirts to Baan Hua Fai School was conducted to support underprivileged children. This initiative was made possible by Mr. Marc Anthony Montrichard, a volunteer from  Torsang Foundation.

We discovered an advertisement on a Facebook page seeking book donations. We have books from Chiangmai North University that we are no longer using, so we decided to donate them. Additionally, they hosted a gel candle workshop on the same day. The workshop was designed for individuals interested in acquiring new skills to earn more money in Chiangmai. They frequently organize workshops like this to support the local community.

We joined them and learned about their process. They also promoted us on their Facebook page.

The event at Chiangmai Library ⭐

We have been expanding our volunteer activities and cooperating with the local Fa Ham government. This time they requested we purchase milk to be given to families with children that have special needs. This milk will be part of the food donations that the government also provides. On 30 April we made our way to visit Fa Ham City hall and donated boxes of milk.

To respect the privacy of these families, we don’t usually go directly to their homes. However, the Fa Ham officers invited us (with permission) to join them on their delivery on 14 May. When we arrived, Fa Ham officers had vehicles ready to drive us to two different locations. 

year old boy. He was shy, but also very polite despite meeting so many new people. The family was gracious to let us meet them and talk with them a bit. 

Next we visited the family of a very energetic and active 4 year old girl. Her mother talked about how her daughter used to be non-verbal, but she has learned ways to express herself very clearly in other ways. She was having a wonderful time pouring rocks into a metal bowl. Her mother told us it helps her to have sensory play.

What a unique opportunity to meet these members of this community.

Milk donation 30 April and 14 May 2024 🌟

On March 29, 2024, during the smoke season in Chiang Mai, the air quality was severely affected due to numerous mountain fires. Volunteers were actively helping to manage the situation.

We saw a Facebook post requesting donations for the firefighters, including items like hiking shoes, buff cloths, and water.

We went shopping at Tesco Lotus and Mr. DIY to gather the needed supplies.

Then, we delivered the donations to a collection point in Maerim.

Although we didn't join the efforts in the forest, we contributed in a small way, and our help was greatly appreciated.

House of 2 elderly name Pradub and Janthip. We met them when we went to donate the dippers to Pradub husband 3 months ago.

Pradub and Janthip They are family. At that time we were asking if they need other help and she want to have a new fan because in her house have only one fan working and also need a new glasses because her new glasses not clear enough They want to see more clearly. And then we were considerate to get her stuffs.

We was contact the glasses shop to get them new glasses and we took them go on Friday 16th Feb. And The Optician said a new glasses could not help much because of their eyes have cataract and they must do operate only.

The problems now is they are worrying to get operate as her age and nobody can take care of her health so we’re thinking to try talk to them again to go hospital and get advice from the doctor what we can do. 

Grandma Pradub she is 91 years old  she can not see straight only can see from the side.

Donation at Fa Ham Village ⭐ [Video]

The Torsang team was very excited to be asked to join Ban Hua Fai school in celebrating Children’s Day 2024. The invitation certainly kept with this year’s theme that Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin announced to: “Have a broader perspective. Think constructively. Respect differences. Join forces in building democracy.”

Every year since 1966*, Children’s Day takes place on the second Saturday of January. The school wanted to do something special for the students so they asked the Torsang Team to join forces with them for a Friday morning extravaganza. While they organized events and student performances, we happily supplied the children with tons of snacks and gifts. The feeling in the air was joyful as students performed, gleefully showing off all their hard work. 

We spent a half day at the school and the time flew by. What a fun day! It’s always a joy to see so many happy, smiling faces. 

The first Children’s Day in Thailand took place on 3 October, 1956. Originally set to take place annually on the first Monday of October, that changed in 1966 when the Committee for National Children’s Day moved the holiday to every second Saturday of January so that it would be more convenient for working parents.

On December 20, 2023, Torsang volunteers and staff brought several bags loaded with toys and Christmas candy to give to the kindergarten class of Ban Hua Fai school in San Sai Luang, Chiang Mai. 

The children even received a special visit from the jolly man himself, Papa Noel (or, as he is known in America, Santa Claus) - who, rumor has it, was flown in directly from the North Pole for the occasion. 

Though the children certainly enjoyed the holiday visit from the Torsang volunteers, their main focus was on the candy and toys. Eyes widened and smiles crept across faces as the team opened large gift bags to distribute treats to the kindergarten class.

As the Torsang team left the children happily munching on candy and playing with their toys, we hoped that we had created some great memories at Ban Hua Fai school. Happy Holidays from all of us at Torsang!

 morning under a brilliant blue sky, Torsang volunteers met up to participate in Chiang Mai province's annual Elderly Day Event at Wat Suan Dok. Each year in a spirit of unity, groups gather together to hand out food and drinks as a way of expressing gratitude to the older community. Despite the early morning heat, we were eager to join in among the 2,000 people who attended.

The Elderly Day Event originally began in 1999 as a way to celebrate 726 years of Lanna culture, acknowledge the wisdom and value of the elderly, and remember to be good role models to young people and children.  

Today's event was organized by the Thai Elderly Council Association branch under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Srinagarindra BoromarajonaniIn in collaboration with the Chiang Mai Provincial Social Development and Human Security Office Ban Thampakorn Social Welfare Development Center, Chiang Mai Province, led by Mr. Thotsapon Puanudom, Deputy Governor of Chiang Mai Province. Mr. Thotsapon Puanudom presided over the ceremony.

Excited to be part of this long standing tradition that honors the elderly, we were happy to give thanks with snacks, smiles, and cold drinks to everyone who came by. It was lovely to interact with the community in such a meaningful way.

On the radiant morning of 23rd September 2023, Torsang Charity Organization brought a scoop of happiness to blind children in Chiang Mai through our endearing Ice Cream Donation event. The aim was simple - to bring smiles and a moment of pure joy with an array of delightful ice creams for the children to relish.

As the ice cream truck parked amidst the sound of cheerful laughter, it painted a picture of joy and gratitude. Our volunteers experienced an overwhelming sense of fulfillment serving ice creams and sharing playful moments with the kids.

This heartfelt event underscored the essence of simple joys and how small gestures can create unforgettable memories. On 9th September 2023, Torsang Charity Organization successfully conducted a one-time Diaper Donation Drive in Fah Ham District, Moo 3, Chiang Mai. This initiative was aimed at providing diapers for the elderly and disabled individuals in the community. The event saw kind-hearted donors coming together to contribute, making everyday living for our beneficiaries a bit more comfortable. The smiles and gratitude received in return were priceless. Diaper Donation Drive in Fah Ham District

On 11th August 2023, in celebration of the Queen's Birthday, our dedicated Torsang volunteers came together near the iconic Tha Phae Gate in Chiang Mai. With the spirit of giving and the essence of the day in mind, they distributed food packages to the people of Chiang Mai. This heartfelt gesture was not just about providing a meal but also about sharing the love, respect, and gratitude towards our beloved Queen and the community. The joy and appreciation were evident in the eyes of every recipient. It was a day filled with love, unity, and the true spirit of Thai generosity.
